The aim of the conference was to facilitate the exchange of experiences and research findings on current issues in Germanic and translation studies, modern methods of teaching and learning foreign languages within the framework of Erasmus+ projects, linguistics, as well as methodologies for teaching the Ukrainian language and literature.
The participants were welcomed by Gennadiy Pavlov, Vice-Rector for Research at #NUOS, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, who emphasized that the organization of the conference is the result of the systematic efforts of the Faculty of Philology in advancing research activities, international cooperation, and participation in grant programmes.
The Dean of the Faculty of Philology at #NUOS, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Olena Hohorenko, highlighted the relevance of the conference topics and wished all participants fruitful and productive work.
During the conference, lecturers from the Department of Germanic Philology presented their current achievements within the project 101128713 \u2013 DigiFLEd \u2013 ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE “Modernisation of University Education Programmes in Foreign Languages by Integrating Information Technologies (DigiFLEd).”
At the plenary session, Tetyana Myronenko, Head of the Department of Germanic Philology at #NUOS and Project Manager of DigiFLEd, delivered a presentation entitled “Linguodidactic Foundations of the Digital Transformation of Education in the Training of Future Foreign Language Specialists.” Tetyana Myronenko shared insights from participation in previous Erasmus+ Ukraine projects and reported on the achievements within the #DigiFLEd project, including its objectives and tasks, participation in international training visits and webinars, as well as the creation of new academic courses implementing digital tools and the establishment of the virtual Digital Language Hub.
Also during the plenary session, Professor Liliia Ruskulis, Head of the Department of Ukrainian Language, Literature, and Teaching Methods at #NUOS, delivered a presentation entitled “Gamification of the Educational Process: Challenges and Prospects,” a topic developed within the DigiFLEd project framework. A group of lecturers led by Professor Ruskulis is working on the creation of the course on Ukrainian language and culture aimed at promoting awareness of Ukraine abroad through the use of multimedia technologies.
The second day of the conference was dedicated to discussions on the dissemination and implementation of the DigiFLEd project results under the topic “Methodological Aspects of Teaching Foreign Languages Based on Modern Information Technologies.” During a roundtable session, project team members of Germanic Philology Department Viktoriya Barkasi, Lesia Dobrovolska, Tetiana Moroz, Iryna Shevchenko, Lidiia Aizikova, and students Anastasiia Cherevko, Liubov Mykhailova, and Yelizaveta Dzhanova, Olena Velidchuk, Maksym Zapototskyi presented their contributions within the DigiFLEd project.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants, guests, colleagues, and students for their active engagement in exploring the conference themes and for their valuable contributions to the discussions, which significantly advanced the search for solutions and effective responses to contemporary challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
