As part of the Erasmus+ project \u2116101128713 \u2014 DigiFLEd \u2014 ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE, titled \u201cModernisation of University Education Programmes in Foreign Languages by Integrating Information Technologies \/ DigiFLEd\u201d, a meeting with key stakeholders – representatives of general secondary education institutions and colleges in Mykolaiv and the region was held on May14th.
During the meeting, the participants from the educational community discussed their results in taking e-course “CLIL Methodology” (#MultiEd), the challenges and positive results of its implementation in schools and were also introduced to the project initiatives led by European partner universities, including Tampere University (grant holder), National University of Ireland Maynooth, and the University of Western Macedonia, alongside Ukrainian institutions: V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University, Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, State Higher Educational Institution Donbas State Pedagogical University, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University, and Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding (#NUOS).
The #DigiFLEd project aims to enhance the quality of higher education in Ukraine by modernizing Foreign Language curricula through the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
Viacheslav Ovcharenko, director of B. Molchanov Grammar School \u2116 4 in Mykolaiv, emphasized the relevance of the DigiFLEd project, noting that AI and computer technologies are becoming increasingly significant in the educational community. Viacheslav Ovcharenko pointed out the practical value of the project e-courses, \u201cDigital Methods in Language Teaching\u201d and \u201cWriting for Research Publication Purposes\u201d which are openly accessible to all.
The graduates of our University were also among the representatives and took part in the discussion: Iryna Migun (Voznesens\u2019k grammar school), Olena Rudomanova (Mykolaiv lyceum \u2116 42), Maksym Zapototskyi (Mishkovo- Pogorilivska boarding school).
The meeting underscored the pivotal role of the DigiFLEd project in advancing educational standards through digital transformation and international collaboration. By bridging Ukrainian and European institutions, the initiative not only enhances the quality of Foreign Language education but also equips educators and students with cutting-edge digital skills. The open-access e-courses further ensure that these innovations extend beyond university contributing to the broader community’s capacity to adapt to digital tools in education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
